3 CUSD/CEHS Credit Requirements for Graduation  Students must complete 95% of available credits  230 credits total to graduate  Pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) Spring 2014 Spring 2014 Minimum score of 350/section Minimum score of 350/section

4 CUSD Graduation Requirements  English - 4 years  Math - 2 years: Algebra 1 and Geometry  Social Science – 4 years World Geography/Health World History (AP) or AP Euro US History or AP US History Government/Economics or AP Macro or AP Gov

5 CUSD Graduation Requirements  Science – 2 years 1 year Life Science (Biology, Ag. Biology, Anatomy, etc) 1 year of Physical Science (Science 1, Chem, APES, etc)  Foreign Language/Visual/Performing Arts two years in one area or one year in each area

6 CUSD Graduation Requirements  Physical Education - 4 years 2 years of PE Core 2 years of Elective PE Jr/Sr who attend CART or off Campus ROP waives PE

9 SAT/ACT  College entrance exams  Students need a higher SAT/ACT score if the GPA is below 3.0  UC no longer requires the SAT II (Subject Tests) for admissions, however depending on the major, your child may be required to take the SAT II  PSAT: Preliminary SAT CUSD will be paying for ALL SOPHOMORES to take the PSAT on October 16, 2013.  PLAN: Practice ACT Administered on October 31, 2013 $14

10 CART and ROP  CART is by application. There will be a tour of the CART campus in late January. Students will be notified when to sign up to attend & pick up a field trip permission slip. Applications will be available in December  ROP classes are available. Various CUSD campuses 2-period classes are held in the areas of Criminal Justice, Health Careers, Vet Science, Careers with Children, etc.
