1. The UN Business Operations Strategy (BOS) is a results-based framework aimed at facilitating the strategic planning, management, monitoring and reporting of the UNCT’s joint support to programme delivery and business operations. Developed in 2012, revised in 2014. SOPs for countries adopting the “Delivering as One” approach highly recommends (BOS) to be endorsed by UNCT and adapted to local needs and capacities.

2. Overall aim of enhancing the harmonization and simplification of UN agencies’ business operations at the country level. The BOS improves the linkages of programme and operations activities. The BOS distinguishes two components of operational services: - those supporting the UNDAF and programmatic activities and - “regular”, non-programmatic operations (e.g. common services).
