If we do not retain the standard: We will not know the certainty of things – Luke 1:4 We will turn to a different gospel – Galatians 1:6 We will be given to a debased mind – Romans 1:28 We will be destroyed – Hosea 4:6 There are to be no divisions in the church 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I plead with you, brethren by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and judgment.

NOUN: 1. Control that is gained by requiring that rules or orders be obeyed and punishing bad behavior 2. A way of behaving that shows a willingness to obey rules or orders 3. Behavior that is judged by how well it follows a set of rules or order VERB: 1. To punish (someone) as a way of making sure that rules or orders are obeyed 2. To train (yourself) to do something by controlling you behavior
