Uses of Minerals Quartz makes glass. Diamonds make jewelry. Many things that we see and use every day are made from iron.

Many of the minerals that people use every day such as iron or copper come from underground. Over time the processes of the rock cycle will cause these minerals to be replaced. However. the processes of the rock cycle are very slow and some minerals are very rare so scientist classify minerals as non- renewable
