THERE WAS A GREAT DIFFERENCE IN STYLE BETWEEN THE CLASSES. THE LOWER CLASSES WORE WOOL OR LINEN FABRICS BECAUSE THEY NEEDED A CERTAIN FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT. THEREFORE THEIR OUTFITS WERE SIMPLE AND COMFORTABLE, WITH VERY FEW DECORATIONS. THE UPPER CLASSES WORE HEAVY AND CUMBERSOME CLOTHES, HIGHLY DECORATED. FOR THIS REASON THEY WERE HELPED BY SERVANS TO GET DRESSED. MOREOVER FABRICS USED INCLUDED SILCK, VELVET AND BROCADE.
