A website for nationals from outside the EU interested in moving to the EU Up-to-date, practical information on EU and national immigration procedures and policies –More than 600 pages of text on EU legislation, immigration policies and procedures of the 28 MS –Reference to further information on official external websites Vast contact directory of governmental and non- governmental organisations for migrants

Objectives of the EU Immigration Portal Inform prospective migrants, migrants already in the EU and other stakeholders (governments and NGOs) about a variety of topics related to immigration Demonstrate that legal migration is possible and even attractive for specific categories of immigrants that are needed in the EU Describe the risks related to irregular migration, such as trafficking and smuggling Help prospective migrants to comply with national immigration rules
