2. Fine Arts Program rated Recognized The Fine Arts program at Palm Grove consists of music class, guitar class, ballroom, and drill team. Our students showcase their artistic talents throughout the year by performing for our community in musicals, holiday programs, dance performances and choir concerts. 3. Wellness Program rated Recognized Palm Grove believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle promotes a positive school atmosphere. To achieve this belief, our students participate in several activities; marathon races, soccer tournaments, track and field and volleyball competitions. The campus CATCH team provides health and nutritional strategies to all our parents and students in order to continuously promote good health. 4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Acceptable Palm Grove strives to create strong relationships with parents, community members and surrounding businesses and organizations. Campus administration, teachers, and the parent liaison work diligently on establishing strong communication links and opportunities for parents and community members to be involved and informed about the education of Palm Grove students from the beginning until the end of the school year. Second Language Acquisition rated Exemplary Palm Grove takes great pride in educating culturally diverse students by including hands-on classroom activities, flexible group learning, computerized programs, and intense small group instruction. 7. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Palm Grove teachers and students are immersed in technology throughout the school year. There are three fully functioning computer labs as well as four computer on wheels carts. Teachers and students use IStation, Living with Science, Think Through Math, Aware, Tango, Pearson Realize Math and Science, and HMH Think Central just to name a few. 8. Dropout Preventions Strategies rated Exemplary Palm Grove Elementary teachers and administrators meet regularly to analyze and discuss students’ progress and performance. In order to provide all At-Risk students a rigorous and challenging educational program, Palm Grove staff use Tango, TPRI/Tejas Lee, and CPALLS reports to target specific skills and develop small group interventions and instructions. Educational Programs for G/T rated Recognized The Gifted and Talented Program at Palm Grove offers numerous opportunities that challenge all GT students to develop academically, artistically, and socially.
