Plot n Sequence of events that show how the conflict develops and is finally resolved n Often we illustrate plot using a “Plot Diagram”

Setting n Time and place n Sets up the story

Exposition n Introduces… –Characters –Setting –Basic Situation

Rising Action n Introduces story’s main conflict n During the rising action, the conflict becomes more intense

Climax n Most exciting moment in the plot n Conflict is most intense here n Turning point n Outcome of plot becomes clear here

Falling Action n Everything that happens after the climax n Conflict winds down

Conflict n Main problem in the story

Resolution n End of the story n Conflict is resolved, loose ends are tied- up

Now…make your own 30 second story! n Must follow the plot diagram n Must be 30-60 seconds n Label each event according to the plot diagram n Must be appropriate
