Evacuation helped to break down class barriers REALITY Despite the argument that evacuation confirmed the prejudices of some people against the lower classes, it did open upper and middle class eyes to how poorer people in the cities lived. Homework Read the full chapter (8) in AQA about impact of WW2, especially the conclusion on pg 118-119. Write a conclusion (min 500 words) to answer this question: ‘How far was British society changed by the experiences of the Second World War?’
