They are a kind of electromagnetic waves. A home microwave oven with a timer and output control was used to produce microwaves and extract nematodes from investigated material. Microwave oven magnetron transforms electric energy into microwaves, which absorbs plant material. Microwaves oscillate 2,5 billion times per second and andrius.stanelis@vatzum.lt

4. heats plant material. In this way nematodes are forced to leave the effected material. Experimental investigations of small output within particular time intervals proved the possibility of a quick nematodes extraction from the studied material. Bigger output microwaves kill nematodes, therefore a microwave oven may be used for destruction of quarantine nematodes species.
