HB 483 Test takers cannot have a high school diploma or honors diploma Test takers ages 16, 17 and 18 must be withdrawn from school Test takers must submit a consent form signed by either the parent, guardian or court official to the state GED Office

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 18 years of age: Test takers cannot have a high school diploma or honors diploma Must be officially withdrawn from school

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Test takers cannot have a high school diploma or honors diploma Test takers must submit a consent form signed by either the parent, guardian, or court official

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Test taker must submit an official high school transcript which includes, at a minimum, the previous 12 months of enrollment in a program approved to grant a high school diploma

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Test taker must be continuously enrolled in a program approved to grant a high school diploma for at least one semester Test taker must have attained an attendance rate of at least 75 percent during that semester

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: If the test taker has not passed all sections of the test within three months, the test taker shall resubmit a current transcript reflecting continuous enrollment and attendance rate of at least 75 percent

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Test taker must show good cause for needing to take the GED ® Court order; receiving and maintaining public assistance; excluded from public schools; and the department may consider other reasons for good cause

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Test taker must remain enrolled in school and maintain an attendance rate of at least seventy- five percent until either: The test taker passes all required sections of the GED® test; or The test taker is eighteen years of age

HB 64 Requirements for test takers 16 and 17 years of age: Extenuating Circumstances Test taker has a mental or bodily health issue requiring them to be withdrawn Test taker is receiving or has completed the final year of instruction for home school Test taker is moving or has moved out of state Other extenuating circumstances may qualify

HB 64 Re-testers If a test taker fails to attain the required scores to earn a high school equivalence diploma, the test taker shall only retake the specific test they did not pass The test taker will only be responsible to pay the cost of that test and not for the entire battery of tests, unless the test takers is retaking the entire battery

Testing Requirements 1)End of Course exams with or without allowable accommodations 2)Nationally recognized college admission exam with or without allowable accommodations 3)Industry Credential 4)Alternate Assessment for students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities 5)IEP team decision to exempt students with disabilities from the high stakes consequences of tests.
