2. MilnacipranMilnacipran, also known as milnacipran hydrochloride or Savella, helps to alleviate the pain caused by fibromyalgia through blocking the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine. During two double-blind clinical trials, Milcanipran has been shown to decrease pain experienced by patients with fibromyalgia by as much as 30 percent. Furthermore, patients reporting the most improvement benefitted from the drug in as little as one week after initiating treatment.
