Basic Life Support (BLS) Performed by Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B) 67 EMT-B’s Currently On-Staff Provides Basic Life Support to Persons who are Sick, Hurt or Injured EMT-B’s Perform CPR, Artificial Respiratory Basic Airway Management, Oxygen Administration, Vital Signs, Splinting and Bandaging 170 Hours of Training Required CURRENT LEVEL OF RFD EMS RESPONSE

Intermediate Life Support (ILS) Performed by Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate (EMT-I) – Currently Called Advanced EMT 141 Advanced EMTs Currently On-Staff Provides IV Therapy Performs Enhanced Airway Management (Intubation) Utilizes Expanded Drug Protocol (Dextrose, Albuterol, Diphenhydramine) 296 Hours of Training Required CURRENT LEVEL OF RFD EMS RESPONSE

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Performed by Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic 27 Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedics Currently On-Staff Highest Skilled Pre-Hospital Provider Provides EKG Monitoring and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Manual Defibrillation) Utilizes Expanded Drug Protocol (Cardiac, Pain) 1,560 Hours of Training Required PROPOSED RFD ALS RESPONSE
