Daily Recommendation= 3 ounces In general, 1 slice of bread, 1 cup of ready-to-eat cereal, or ½ cup of cooked rice, cooked pasta, or cooked cereal can be considered as 1 ounce equivalent from the Grains Group. 6-8 servings per day is suggested in your daily intake A source of antioxidants fiber, vitamin E, iron, and B vitamins

Daily Recommendation= 5 ounces It is best to maintain 3-6 oz per day The body uses proteins for energy in the body After water, protein is the most plentiful substance in the body Protein builds, maintains, and replaces the tissues in your body

Children 9-13 years old should have 1 ½ cups of fruit every day Children 9-13 year old also need 2-2 ½ cups of vegetables every day Vitamin C is important for growth and repair all body tissues, helps heal cuts and wounds, and keeps teeth and gum health 4-5 servings per day is requested in your daily intake
