A Taste of Skåne. Skåne is a beautiful country with a long and interesting histrory.It is also renowed for its food and drink, and this sightseeing package offers you a perfect opportunity to sample some of the delights of the region. Sweden at its absolute best. The following programme, available all year, consists of activities suitable for any incentive group. The recommended group size is 8-50 people. Day 1 Just over an hour leaving from Copenhagen, you reach the small town of Åhus, home of the famous Absolut vodka. One bar in the Åhus Strand Hotel contains an exhibition devoted to the liquor varietes. Listen to a lively and interesting presentation of the history the history of Absolut, and sample the different types of vodka made in the town. But Åhus is not only famous vodka - the town i s also associated with eel fishing. Visit a traditional fisherman´s hut, hear the history of eel fishing int hte town, and taste traditionally smooked eel. Enjoy a typical Skåne lunch at the historic Åhus Gästgifvaregård originating from he early 18th century. The tour then continues southwards and after a coffee break in Brösarp we come to Kronovall Castle, Sweden´s only wine chateau. See how champagne is made before sitting down to a magnificent five-course meal. Overnight accommodation is also at the castle. Day 2 After breakfast, the tour continues through the beautiful Österlen region o the east coast. Stroll round the charming village of Kivik and sample the local cider at Äpplets Hus. From the centre of the village continue to Knäbäckshusen, and walk down the old village street to the tiny chapel near Hanöbukten beach. Lunch is served at Scandinavia´s best preserved medieval castle, Glimmingehus, and an interesting account of the fort´s history will be given during a guided tour. The program continues with a visit to Mr. Dag Hammarskiöld´s (former UN Secretary) farm, and then on to sample yet another Skåne speciality - spettkaka at the traditional bakery. The journey back to Copenhagen passes through small villages with further stops in Kåseberga and Ale´s Stenar, Scandinavias´s largest ship tumulus.

ACCOMODATION Kronovall Castle A magnificent chateau set in beautiful surroundings. The Castle has 15 large rooms, each named after a different type of grape. The castle is a listed historic building so there are no wc/showers in the rooms, but plenty of in the corridor outside. All rooms have dressing gowns. Extra accommodation is provided in two fine annexes with 8 double rooms, 4 of which are en-suite. Two fine rooms with traditional furnishings are used for conferences. Åhus Gästgifveri A traditional Skåne inn where travellers have enjoyed hospitality since 1737. The inn has a restaurant for 50 diners, 22 hotel rooms and 6 conference rooms. Glimmingehus Scandinavia´s best preserved medieval castle, originating from the early 16th century. Today, the castle is used for exhibitions, music, theatre, dances and a medieval festival complete with jesters and fire-eaters.
