V 1.0 Slide 2 Staff – Appointment Special fields for appointment 1. Teaching duty indicator if checked: class teacher /subject teacher duties can be assigned in School Management Module, student activity duties in Student Activities Module and substitution teacher duties in Staff Deployment Module 2. Sharable Indicator (for multi-session / level schools) if checked: the owner level / session as well as the other level / session can assign duties to the staff concerned

V 1.0 Slide 3 Staff – Appointment Special fields for appointment 3. More Than 1 Year of Teaching Experience in Aided School checked:- system will derive the “Date of Crediting” and “Incremental Month” unchecked:- user has to input data for these fields manually 4. Sick Leave Open Balance It is the number of days for sick leave carried forward from the previous school (for some staff types from aided to aided schools only). 5. Date of Crediting (for aided schools only) Referral date for calculating the number of days for sick leave.

V 1.0 Slide 4 Staff – Appointment Special fields for appointment 6. Incremental Month: Referral month for salary increment. It is automatically attached by the system if the field “More Than 1 Year of Teaching Experience in Aided School” is checked”. The user can edit the data if necessary.

All information from the latest appointment record will be copied to the internal transfer record except for the following: School Level, School Session, Rank, Staff Type, Start Date, End Date (this field exists if employment term is temporary)

V 1.0 Slide 19 Staff – Appointment Notes for Appointment If “Teaching Duty Indicator” is set to “Yes”, the staff can be assigned class and subject teacher duties in School Management Module, student activity duties in Student Activities Module and substitution teacher duties in Staff Deployment Module. For schools with multi-level/ session, if “Shareable Indicator” = “Yes”, both the level/ session that employs this staff as well as the other level/ session can assign duties to this staff. “Appointment Start Date” must be unique [School Level + School Session + Rank + Employment Term + Full-time Equivalent] of previous appointment records must be unique.
