What does “equal access” mean? Why is it important to provide equal access? Post-reading: “Equal access” means that everybody, disabled or not, should be able to access, or get to, important places in our society, such as public buildings, school, libraries, and shops. It also means that all people should have the opportunity to get education and to find jobs. Because we need the contributions of all people, disabled or not. We also have a responsibility to help people with disabilities.
