4 NEW BOY SCOUT REQUIREMENTS STARTING JANUARY 2016 -Scouts joining on/after 1/1/16 MUST use new requirements -Scouts joining prior to 1/1/16 can use old requirements for Scout badge but convert to new requirements for subsequent ranks. -Scouts working on Tenderfoot through 1 st Class MAY continue with existing requirements but MUST convert to new requirements upon reaching 1 st Class in 2016 -Scouts working on Star, Life or Eagle MAY complete the rank they are currently working on with existing requirements but MUST convert to new requirements for subsequent ranks in 2016 -For 2017 ALL scouts MUST use new requirements

14 Order of the Arrow Phillippo Scout Reservation Summer Kick-off WHAT: (set up weekend for PSR Cub Resident Camp) "Event open to all Scouters" – Hosted by Chief Black Dog & Rolling Hills Districts WHEN: Friday through Sunday, May 6-8, 2016 WHERE: Phillippo Scout Reservation near Cannon Falls, MN. WHO: This weekend is open to ALL Scouts, Scouters, and Units in Northern Star Council. You don’t have to be a member of the Order of the Arrow to attend. Ordeal and Brotherhood Inductions will be offered this weekend. – If you were Called-out last summer and but missed the Conclave last fall then come out to complete the process. – If you went through the Ordeal induction more then 10 months ago then come out and seal you membership by becoming a Brotherhood member. 15 All Arrowmen and Arrowwomen Operation Ottertail This summer, you have the opportunity to put the words Brotherhood of Cheerful Service into action. Operation Ottertail is a joint effort with the Minnesota DNR to rehabilitate the Ottertail River in western Minnesota. Over the course of three weekends, Arrowmen from lodges in the Section are joining forces to clean up the river and to enhance recreational activities for all. When: June 17th and 18 th, or July 14th, 15th, and 16 th, or August 5th and 6th Where: Fergus Falls MN, Frazee MN, Glendalough State Park, Phleps Mill For more information, registration and videos go to Moose Tracks @ oa.nsbsa.org Section C1A Conclave Save the Date When: September 9-11th Where: Phillippo Scout Reservation Why: An opportunity for Arrowmen across the section to participate in fun activities, training and service.
