LINK 2000+ EEC Test Facility - ATN 2003 London 3 CPDLC Air and Ground Test Tools Functionality Implement LINK2000+ Baseline Air and Ground messages sets with support of single and concatenated messages Support of Test Error cases: –Invalid message sequences, wrong message ID –LACK not sent –Unsupported messages Automatic generation of messages with configurable period (to stress remote system)

LINK 2000+ EEC Test Facility - ATN 2003 London 6 VDL M2 LAB Test Facility Objectives To get a system in LAB functionally as similar as is possible to the operational system: –verification of VDL M2 intended functioning –close look at VDL M2 Handoffs To be able to conduct end-to-end CPDLC testing in LAB via VDL M2 To get expertise on the ACSP VDL M2 equipment To help in investigations of real environment VDL M2 problems

LINK 2000+ EEC Test Facility - ATN 2003 London 7 VDL M2 LAB Test Facility Functionality Core component: the ARINC VDL M2 AGTS –Operationally equivalent ATN/VDL M2 capable Test facility –Includes two VGSs and associated VDRs –Includes Variable RF attenuators for simulation of live mobile environment –Includes A/G BIS and G/G BIS routers –Allows registration of traces in VGSs and monitoring of the VDL M2 traffic from a third VGS/VDR set

LINK 2000+ EEC Test Facility - ATN 2003 London 14 LINK 2000+ ATN VDL M2 Flight Trials Status From September 03 to October 03 : Flight trials with NLR Citation experimental Aircraft equipped with Rockwell Collins Avionics against EEC CPDLC Ground Facility. –Main objective is to complete check of LINK 2000+ VDL M2 area coverage December 03: Start of SAS revenue flights against EEC and Maastricht Development system.
