SCC is audited annually to ensure we adhere to PCI compliance PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Is an actionable framework for developing a robust payment card (debit or credit) data security process, this includes prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to security incidents PCI-DSS Compliance – Securing payment card information To demonstrate compliance we need to be able to scan files to identify any payment card data that is being stored for business purposes. It is particularly important that we are able to identify where any business related payment card data is being held on PCs & laptops & ensure it is removed & stored appropriately All staff are required to undertake PCI Awareness e-learning which is available through the Learning Portal: http://suffolk.learningpool.com/http://suffolk.learningpool.com/ Click on orange dots for details about PCI-DSS compliance

Flexible working and maintaining the user experience Traditional approaches for supporting flexible working no longer meet the needs of the individual or the business; they either require too much time and effort by the users, or do not work well when employees roam in different environments which include physical and virtual applications and desktops SCC employees are becoming increasingly mobile and use a variety of means for accessing their applications. They expect the same experience no matter how they access them To help workers remain productive however they choose to work, IT needs a simple, efficient way to provide users with a consistent experience and has adopted a new approach to accomplish this Click on orange dots for details about flexible working

The challenges of facilitating flexible working To enable a flexible approach to working with PC’s and laptops each user has a profile so they can move between locations and PC’s and have their settings follow them Really slow load time is often symptomatic of having large files store locally and some users may get impatient and switch to another machine, but this will not resolve the problem and will simply lead to the same slow load time but on a different machine Users should also consider the Data and Record Storage requirements when storing important data and corporate records: https://suffolknet.sharepoint.com/sites/myscc/IT/Documents/AcceptableUseofIC TPolicyv3.4.pdf https://suffolknet.sharepoint.com/sites/myscc/IT/Documents/AcceptableUseofIC TPolicyv3.4.pdf This may seem like it’s not an issue if you always use the same PC or laptop, but you will run into problems if you need to move between computers and have large files stored incorrectly Click on orange dots for details about challenges
