Over 32 thousand of projects were implemented within 25 years for more than 20,6 billion euro: 28,3 thousand cross-border cooperation projects 3280 transnational cooperation projects 340 interregional cooperation projects

SPECIFICITY OF INTERREG PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS (1) Projects must have partners from at least 2 countries (CBC programmes or 3 countries (transnational and interregional programmes) Lead partner principle must be applied. Support is given for activities of public (general) interest Priority is given for cooperation activities rather than investment activities

SPECIFICITY OF INTERREG PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS (1) No advanced payments – reimbursement of costs. Projects are selected via open calls Programmes are managed and main decisions are taken by Monitoring committees. Managing authority, certifying authority, audit authority are placed in the same country.

IN TOTAL 107 PROGRAMMES PLANNED TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN 2014-2020 60 cross-border cooperation programmes (INTERREG A), 12 IPA programmes and 16 ENI programmes (7,476 bill. €) 15 transnational cooperation (INTERREG B) programmes (EUR 2.1 bill. €) 4 interregional cooperation programmes: INTERREG EUROPE, INTERACT, URBACT ir ESPON (0,5 bill. €).

Enhancing institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders and efficient public administration Territory of the Programme: Lithuania – Alytus, Kaunas, Marijampolė, Tauragė and Vilnius (without Vilnius city) counties ; Poland – Bialostocky, Suwalkski ir Elkski subregions
