5. III. Database or Spreadsheet? Database software has a relational structure that helps keep large amounts of information accurate and provides you with customized manageable tables. Spreadsheet software is mainly used for analyzing numbers using formulas, while Database software is used for the storage of large amounts of data that can be accessed easily and quickly. 6. IV. Demonstration/ Guided Practice Let’s practice how to select a template and enter basic data. Open the Database program Locate and download one of the pre-built templates that come packaged in your software. These may also be called “Assets”. If they are not pre-installed, you may have to use the internet to find a template. Pick an item in the classroom to enter into the template as your first asset.
