How to use AVOIR AVOIR is useful in talking about what objects someone HAS. – J’ai un crayon ____________________________________. – Tu as un stylo. ____________________________________. – Elles ont des livres. ____________________________________.

AVOIR and AGE AVOIR is also used to express someone’s AGE. – In English, we express age suing the verb to ____________. I AM __ years old. But in French, we say someone ____________ a certain number of years. – Elle a douze ans. She is / has twelve years.
