Writing Extensions ( complete organizer and then write a descriptive essay) Complete the organizer for at least one of the 7 wonders. Then write a descriptive essay about your selection.

TEACHER’S PAGE It may be helpful to print vocabulary page and organizer; Use one panoramic view to model activity whole class. My intention was to: 1. Introduce vocabulary words and discuss descriptive adjectives. For instance use vast or huge instead of big. Describe using the 5 senses. Also, some may need to distinguish the location of this wonder by continent and country. 2.They may link (thru Ms. Grande’s web page) to watch, listen and read the article that is connected to each wonder. (They may need to do this a few times) Again, remind students to use their organizer to record information and details, but not whole sentences. (This could be a partner activity) 3.Responses are shared later in day/week. 4.Teacher could provide additional links for each wonder to get more details if required for individual students or groups.
