Pilot Project Summary The Trillium Family Services (TFS) Telehealth Project seeks to provide psychiatric services via video conferencing to youth transitioning from residential treatment to rural community placements and youth in rural settings receiving school- based mental health services.

TFS residential services include: Secure Inpatient Program, Sub-Acute, and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Services (PRTS). TFS has about 110 beds available. For the past two calendar years TFS has averaged roughly 700 admissions per year to these programs and approximately 20% of the admissions to these programs are from rural Oregon communities.

TFS provides mental health services in about 80 schools in Oregon, and 20 of these schools are in rural communities.

Enhancements to Residential Using Telehealth infrastructure & technology to increase contact between clients in our residential programs who hail from rural areas and their families/communities Examples: –Court appearances –Family therapy & visits –Screenings & assessments for next placement
