8. Direct:- The boy says to girl, ‘ I am fine” Indirect:-The boy says to the girl that he is fine. D.—sub+R.-v1 + obj+,+R.-speeech. In D.—sub+R. v1 +obj +that+R.speech.[no change tense] D.--The girl says to the boy,”I am also fine.” In D.—The girl says to the boy that she is fine.. [no change tense]

12. D. The woman said to the man,”When did you take tea ?” In. D. The woman asked the man When he had taken tea. If sentence is interrogative the structure will be – Sub+ask/asked+obj+W.H.Q/if +Reported speech[will be assertive]

13. Nahid said to Nipa, “Please, stop your word.” Nahid requested Nipa to stop her word. If sentence is imperative, the structure will be – Sub+requested/ordered/advised/prohibited+obj+to+ v+next. [please will be omission]

14. Father said to his child,”Long live my child” Father prayed that his child might live long. If sentence is Optative, the structure will be- Sub+prayed/wished +that+sub2+might+next.

15. Shanti said,” How nice the bird is!” Shanti exclaimed that the bird was very nice. If sentence is exclamatory, the structure will be – Sub+exclaimed +that+sub2+V+very/great+adj/obj.

Passage Narration You have to identify of speaker(sub) and object(listener),persons,tense,sentences.  If speaker deliveries more speeches the structure will be  Speaker+R.V+listner+tha +reported speech+and said that+next speech.  If speaker deliveries more speeches  The structure will be  Speaker +asked+listener+ W.H.Q/if+sub+next+and asked+next’s reported speech(change will be according to rule.) I think, every Student has to follow the commu- nicative methot.” said Tom. Dina asked Tom how he was and proposed that they should talk about learning english.
