Fads Assignment In groups of 4, you will be given a decade. You must create a brief Google Slide prez displaying the different FADS of that decade! Music is optional, but always makes for a more interesting presentation! While this WON’T be getting included in your final project, identifying what you want vs what you need will be very important for your assignment
21
Fads Assignment Requirements:
Title slide (Era, names of people in group, etc) 2 fads per person (create and present the slides) References Footnotes Bibliography Images (must also be cited!!)
22
How to Make a Good Presentation
Bad Presentation xx eye contact not a ton of info on slides proper use of colouring font size standing professionally and engaging dressing often = confidence
23
Appropriate use of colour
Depending on the colour you choose to use, sometimes it can be very hard to read… or it can be very easy to read!!
24
Appropriate use of colour
Using multiple colours takes away from the information that is on the slide
25
Appropriate font size/info on slide
If you put way too much information on a slide, it means that your audience is spending more time reading your slide than they are paying attention to you presenting it. Your slide should have just enough text on it that the point is getting across, but they need YOU to explain it. Therefore, it works more as visual prompts, or cues, instead of actually providing all of the information in writing. Also - the more text you have the smaller you have to make your writing, which means that it’s harder to read!!! Ps - teachers often to d a bad job at this, but it’s largely because we are putting the info down so you don’t have to take a million notes… otherwise you would have to take notes of what we are saying.
