Gmail Add an attachment to an email using Gmail. Invite a friend to Gmail

Google Earth Add a placemark at one of your personal history events. Visit the Eiffel Tower (sightseeing) and measure it’s height. Locate the home you grew up in. Find your elementary school. Use the path measure tool to find out the distance you walked to school (uphill both ways!) Find driving directions from your home to St. George. Find one educational location(s) in Google Earth Community.

Picasa Crop one photo Remove the red eye from your photos Use the soft focus or focal black & white to enhance a picture Create a collage of your photos. Export a photo to the web.

Google Docs Create a form you can use for a Parent Contact sheet. Upload a document to share with colleagues. Create an online presentation to use with students.

Work Time You will have until 2:30 to work on your personal history.

Show Time Create a folder for your placemarks in Google Earth. Add your 5 placemarks to the folder. Click File>Save as and save your project as a.kmz file. Save the file to the S Drive in the Google Tools folder It’s Show Time!!!

Curriculum Timeline Project Combine different elements of Google Earth and Picasa to make a tour of 5 important events in a particular curriculum area. ◊Picasa: Edit your 5 digital images to use in your tour. Upload these photos to the web. ◊Google Earth: Mark each location using Placemarks. Type a brief description of each event. Add a photo and description of the event. At the end of class, submit the tour of your curriculum topic.

Develop a Classroom Website. Combine different elements of Google Sites, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Groups to create a classroom website. ◊Google Sites: Develop a site to share information, assignments, events, and images from your classroom. ◊Google Calendar: Create a calendar to share important dates to parents and students and embed this in your website. You should include dates for the next month of your class. ◊Google Docs: Upload and share your important classroom documents, including: disclosure, syllabus, handouts, and more. You should upload at least 5 new documents. Publish the documents and link to them through your website.
