Judgment- is an Assertion or a statement about something that a reader makes about information given in a text. Assertion- is based on evidence such as facts, examples, and quotations. When making an assertion a reader must evaluate the evidence to determine if it is reliable and valid. Judgments or assertions should be supported by evidence the writer presents.
