Commands/Week1-Drawing 1 8 Open from Learning Week DFTG 1309-Week1-Drawing1 Command-Basic instructional issues of AutoCAD Control + Tab- To toggle between each set of drawings ESC-Escape key to return to the Command prompt Limit-Sets the Lower Left Corner and Upper Right Hand Corner limits of a drawing. Units-Controls the precision for the length and angle measurements. Help-Use the ? Command or search the command needed for help Layout Wizard-Creates a new layout by specifying page and plot settings

10. Commands/Week1-Drawing 1 9 Object Properties-(Control +1) control the appearance and behavior of objects in a drawing. Object properties include layer, color, linetype, scale, lineweight, transparency, and plot style. 11. Cartesian Coordinate System Coordinate Systems-COORDS or F6 determines the location of a point. The value that appears on the bottom of the screen (x,y) is the coordinate display. The first number (x) is measured horizontally, and the second number (y) is measured vertically. Absolute Coordinates- Is measured from the original lower left hand corner (0,0) Relative Coordinates- Each point is measured from the previous position with the symbol @ that preceded the entry. 10

12. Cartesian Coordinate Assignment 11 Open the Title Block and the Week1-Drawing 2 file Begin drawing by reading the directions in the Week 1- Drawing2 file to complete the assignment Save the file and Email/Save on Class USB drive
