System-Wide Exercise | April F&A 2016 Incident Action Plan ▸Priority One: Safety ▸Ensure that campus perimeter is locked down to outside visitors, especially around Library. ▸Manage the 7,000 community members sheltering in place on campus. Hold them safely until they can be released from campus. ▸Establish an on campus meeting space for those who cannot leave campus. Ensure orderly walking evacuation once they can be released.

System-Wide Exercise | April F&A 2016 Incident Action Plan ▸Priority Two: Communications and Alerting ▸Notification to Presidents Office ▸PIO send follow up messages to campus community ▸Communication with neighbors and community members ▸Notification of deaths by Chancellor to families after consulting HR (1 Officer), Student Affairs/Enrollment Management (1 Student), and Provost Office (2 Faculty) ▸Working with Public Safety, Health Services and Registrar to find out names and contact information of the other 15 injured students and staff ▸PIO to Media Staging Area at Malibu Beach ▸Contact animal care facilities
