Page2 What makes a Haiku? How* re*luc*tant*ly the bee emerges from deep within the peony A haiku is a Japanese form of poetry, often with a theme from nature, and composed of 17 syllables. In English, haiku are written in three lines: the first line has 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables, and the third 5 syllables.
