3. Tobacco-Free Living Several laws in New Brunswick have been created in order that we now have designated public places where people, especially children, are protected from the health risks associated with exposure to cigarette smoke.

4. The use of electronic cigarettes or water pipes is forbidden in areas where tobacco use is not allowed.

5. Here are some examples of smoke-free places: An enclosed public place; On school grounds and in all vehicles on school grounds; When a person under the age of 16, is in a vehicle; Smoke-Free Places Act

6. Smoke Free Places…. An outdoor eating area and within 3 meters of the edge of the outdoor eating area; Within 9 meters of a doorway, a window or an air intake of a public building; On an outside playground and within 20 meters of the playground area;

7. Smoke-Free Places…. An outdoor sport or leisure area, including the terraces, and within 20 meters of an outdoor area; A public walking or jogging trail and within 9 meters of a public walking or jogging trail.

8. Tobacco and Electronic Cigarette Sales Act It is against the law to sell electronic cigarettes and their liquids to a person who is under 19 years of age.

9. Tobacco-Free Living We must protect youth from the harmful effects of smoking and nicotine addiction. Changes made to legislation will help New Brunswickers live longer and healthier lives.
