What is a CREDIT? Credits are a unit of measure for courses taken in high school 1 year long class = 1 credit 1 semester class = 1/2 credit On track for graduation = 7.0 credits by end of freshman year & 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) 24 credits are required for a high school diploma 18 credits required for an ACCEL high school diploma

What is a GPA? Grade Point Average All grades have a numerical value: Unweighted Weighted/Honors Weighted/AP/DE A= 4 points A= 5 Points A= 6 Points B= 3 Points B= 4 Points B= 5 Points C= 2 Points C= 3 Points C= 4 Points D= 1 Point D= 2 Point D= 3 Point F= 0 Points F= 0 Points F= 0 Points Calculate your GPA by adding up all of your points earned and dividing by the number of classes taken.
