TREATY OF VERSAILLES WHAT- The treaty that France & Britain forced Germany to sign after World War One. MAIN PURPOSE- Punish Germany

HOW DID IT DO THIS? 1- Germany Lost Territory 2- It Reduced Germany’s Military 3- Germany Had To Take Blame for WW I (the “War Guilt” clause) 4- Germany Had To Pay Reparations (War Damages)

IMPACT ON GERMANY The Treaty Left Germany Bitter & Resentful, Looking For Revenge!

THE UNITED STATES U.S. Congress didn’t Agree With The Treaty, so it didn’t Sign this Treaty.

RUSSIA Was left out of the Treaty, and also lost land after WW I ended.

HOW WERE THE OTHERS PUNISHED? AUSTRIA-HUNGARY LOST LAND AND WAS SPLIT UP. OTTOMAN EMPIRE LOST LAND AND BECAME TURKEY.
