16. Edinburgh Zoo trip Important Info!! Could all S2 pupils attending the Zoo trip come to room 214 (Modern Languages) at lunchtime between 1:10 pm and 1:45 pm on Wednesday 22 nd June to pick up a parental information sheet (COMPULSORY), inform me of group requests and to get change from payments. Please inform me if you CAN’T arrive back at school later than 3:30 pm on the day of trip.

17. Edinburgh Zoo trip Important Info!! Could all S2 (previous S1) pupils hand their trip money £9.50 into Miss McCardle by TODAY at the latest. Also could you inform Miss McCardle if you can be picked up/make your way home when we arrive back at school after usual 3:30 pm finish time (nearer 4.00 pm - 4:15 pm) so we can stay a little longer at zoo (to see the Penguin Parade).

18. Science Centre Trip Wednesday 29 th June 2016! Could all students going to the Science Centre please attend a short meeting at break on Friday 24 th June in room 123. If you have still to return your form or money please do so ASAP or bring it along to the meeting.

30. Trainee Roadworker CAN YOU SEE THE MONEY IN LEARNING? It's a great combination – your chance to bring in a wage AND learn new skills. So if want specialised training, real work experience with great prospects, we've got just the job! Based at our Fushiebridge Depot, near Gorebridge you'll start July/August on our Trainee Roadworker Scheme, tailored to give you formal training combined with practical, supervised on-the-job training – and a recognised qualification at the end of it. Requirements You should have or expect to achieve three National4 qualifications, ideally in Maths, English and a Science subject. You should also be able to demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn new skills. A willingness to work outside in all weathers and in a team environment is also essential. In addition you should be prepared to obtain a provisional / full driving licence in the course of the training programme. Pay £15,647 - £16,323 per annum. Closing date 1 July 2016
