DANCE Dance was one of the three main performing arts in ancient times. Classical ballet dance is the basis for most kinds of dance, even funky, jazz, contemporary jazz-funk, breakdance and many other Latin American dances.

ACADEMIC DANCE The ballet Ballet or "academic dance" is one of the most popular forms of dance theatre, and certainly the oldest. The first ballet school was the Académie Royale de Danse in Paris founded by King Louis XIV in 1661.

BREAK DANCE BREAK DANCE Real name B-boying or Breaking, this non- academic dance was born in the streets of Bronx around 1975 by young African Americans. Since the early 80’s b-boying has spread all over the world, combining practice with a true lifestyle of hip hop mold.

JAZZ JAZZ Jazz dance is a combination of various dance styles and techniques and is not easy to label. The term "jazz dance" is used to describe a type of changing movement.
