2. Course Description Professional Alliances The critical role of networking in the hospitality industry and its relation to individual professional development and career goals are explored. Focus on interviewing techniques, preparation of resume and cover letter, development of e- portfolio, and the essentials of business etiquette.

Prior Course Objectives At the completion of HMGT 2306, students will be able to a.Recognize and develop professional relationships and establish a network in the hospitality industry. b.Document networks in the form of a file of ‘net worker builder’ cards. c.Attain a membership in a professional industry association. d.Participate in a departmental and/or related alumni event.

Students will create a ePortfolio profile on OpenLab that will include a professional quality résumé
