A GLANCE AT THE PRESENT - 2 In the current school year providing 66 3-year vocational and training courses for 1835 students Professional areas: tourism, graphics, electronics, cooking and food and beverage services, hairdressing and aesthetics, secretariat

A GLANCE AT THE PRESENT – 3a Focal aspects of the 3-year pathways: module-based organization of the three-year course consisting of 3168 hours of education and training (1056 for each year) student-centred courses in a three-dimension approach: personal, cultural, professional; classes with a workshop approach, different learning contexts and experimenting new teaching methods and new technologies; local network of partners (schools, companies, institutions) actually involved in the training system;

A GLANCE AT THE PRESENT – 3b Focal aspects of the 3-year pathways: assessment and evaluation system based on competence, and not on knowledge, observing working processes and products; certification of professional credits necessary to obtain professional qualifications at the end of the three-year course, after passing a final examination; a qualification is issued. The three ‐ year vocational qualification allow access to regional second level vocational training; once obtained the professional qualification the students may: a - look for a job opportunity and enter into the job market (average 35%); b - continue their education in a vocational school in order to achieve a five-year diploma (average 65%);

A GLANCE AT THE FUTURE A new guidance perspective: Working group about non-formal skills certification in term of processes, steps, tools, resources, competence units organization, in order to set up a model for skills certification in any context acquired.
