Notes There is no unified curriculum, programs and manuals. Each district works out studying programs itself Americans are proud of their system of education.

System of Secondary School in USA Preschool education Nursery school (age 2 – 5) Kindergarten (age 5; the name of first year of school) Elementary school (age 5 – 11) Secondary school (age 11 – 18) Junior high school (age 12 – 13/14) Senior high school (age 14 – 17/18)

Elementary School One teacher has all the lessons with a class Subjects by traditional curriculum: reading, literature, writing, spelling, native language (spoken language), music, fine art, arithmetic, history, geography, natural science, hygiene, physical training and hand work. Testing A group – gifted, B group – normal, C group - slow

Secondary School A school year = 170 – 186 days Children have classes 5 days a week in 5 – 6 hours a day At 8 form system of choosing of subjects appears. English language, mathematics, social science, natural science, physical training and hygiene, music and fine art, hand work are compulsory subjects

Types of Secondary Schools At 9 form all students have tasting Academical schools. This education is enough to enter a university Vocational schools prepare students direct to work Multifield schools. There is different departments (general, commercial, industrial, agricultural)
