2 What is EMIS? Ohio Education Management Information System (EMIS) - In 1991 the Ohio legislature created the Education Management Information System to provide information about student performance and participation and the needs of school districts Ohio Education Management Information System (EMIS)

4 eSIS EMIS State Reporting within eSIS, is intertwined with normal day to day interaction with the eSIS software Details which are entered into eSIS in order to track daily student activity, are utilized to report EMIS out of the eSIS software

20 Graduate (G) The Graduation (G) reporting period captures data related to graduating students Diploma information and all data necessary to verify that the student has met credit and testing graduation requirements Demographic, OGT, Core course credit, Diploma Graduation-Only Test Record is reported during this reporting period

21 October (K) “October count week” districts are funded based on the student ADM (average daily membership) ‘October’ reports all students who were actively enrolled from the day after the last date of the previous school year, up to the last date of the October Count Week Includes students who were withdrawn prior to the last date of the October Count Week and Summer Withdraw students who were still enrolled at the end of the previous school year Community schools are not funded based on October count week, but are instead funded monthly through the SOES Exceptions. Preschoolers enrolled after October Count Week but on or before December 1 School age students who have enrolled after October Count Week and have been identified with a disability condition as of December 1

23 March (D) Also known as March reporting, CTE (career- technical education) Workforce Development Follow-Up data are reported during this reporting period. Additionally, the student CTE Industry Assessment may be reported for the same set of students. These two records are the only records reported.

24 June / Yearend (N) June/Yearend captures all of the details for the school district that have occurred throughout the school year
