2 Describe the purpose of your study by writing a statement that completes the following sentence, “The purpose of this study is to The Purpose of this study is to Improve upon my classroom management skills relating to, creating and maintaining classroom rules and routines. To create, a respectful, positive, safe and productive learning environment.My goal is to find evidence based strategies to utilize in my current learning environment to both create and reinforce the former.

3 Post your research question(s) - Include definitions of key technical terms, if necessary. How can I get students to stop targeted behaviors? What can I do to motivate my students? How can I create an organized, respectable, and functional learning environment? What I hope to answer in this study is an effective practice that I can apply to my student relating to behaviors and classroom management.

4 Outcomes/Results The “so what?” of your study—Answers to your research questions. My action research study was focused on classroom management in relations to creating rules, routines and curbing targeted behaviors, in the learning environment. I utilized a Behavior intervention plan, and Skinner’s theory of classical conditioning, using multiple rewards systems. After conducting my research, the students targeted behaviors did decrease, moreover the students started to follow the classroom rules and routines. I also discovered why the students did not abide by the rules and routines prior to the action research plan. The teacher is new and she did not show nor teach the students, what was expected of them, in relations to the classroom rules and routines.

5 Assuming you would conduct another cycle of this study, what specific modifications or adjustments would you make, and why If I would conduct another cycle of this study, the modifications or adjustments that I would make includes, conducting more data collections, such as interviews. I believe that the information from my data collection was quite helpful, I utilized a variety of observations tools to collect data. I believe that if I had incorporated interviews as a method of data collection, I probably would have gotten a theory of the reasons for my students undesirable behaviors in the learning environment, sooner.

6 Explain why this study is important to the school and the students. Classroom management has proven to be a very popular issue, among many new teachers myself included. Moreover there are many solutions and strategies that can help educators, to be effective in that area. Moreover without effective classroom management, the teaching and learning process will be impossible. The first step is making the commitment, The next step entails designing the study, then making sense of the experience, followed by beginning again. lastly improving the practice.

7 Explain why this study is important it is important for teachers and other educational practitioners to become researchers of their own practice. This study is extremely important for many teacher, with an emphasis on new teachers. Classroom management has been one of the greatest challenge many teachers face, in the learning environment. Without effective and efficient classroom management learning will not occur, moreover this study allows teachers to explore and utilize a variety of research based strategies that has proven to be successful. Moreover it also allows the teacher to analyze, reflect upon and improve upon their practice.
