Program Overview S.T.E.P.S. is a work and independent living program designed to serve students who have or functional as if having a mild cognitive impairment, during their final 2 or 3 years of schooling as they move toward a Certificate of Completion. The program’s focus is on transitioning students from school to employment and personal success in adult life roles. S.T.E.P.S. is designed to help students develop important vocational, social and independent living skills as well as utilize community resources. Where do we start each day? Base Location Rochester Community Schools Administration Center Program Daily Schedule S.T.E.P.S. will follow the Rochester Community Schools Calendar 8:37-3:00 Monday –Friday

Work Based Learning 3 Days per week Job instruction in the classroom prior to leaving for job sites Work based learning jobs in the community for 4.5 hours At end of day, debrief work day
