10 Beliefs Beliefs represent the deeply held beliefs within an organization and are demonstrated through the day-to-day decision and actions of the organization. Beliefs should be developed discretely from the other foundational statements, and not be repetitive of either the mission or vision statements for the organization.

14 Mission A mission statement defines the core propose of the organization. Unlike goals that may be accomplished over time, a mission is constantly pursued, but never quite achieved. Defines why the organization exists Is long term in nature Inspires change and drives performance Is clear, easily understood, and easily repeated Is concise and focused Uses infinitives to describe the district mission Is stated in one sentence
