Kentucky Reptiles June 10 11:15 – 12:15 Our special guest will be presenting a native reptile collection. Be prepared to interact with the animals! STORIES AND TAILS Saturday, June 18 1:00 -2:00 Children & families read aloud to therapy dogs! Legos at the Library Tues, June 28, 5:00 – 6:00 Legos are provided! SRP Notes: Registration is NOT required, unless noted otherwise. You can pick & choose classes & times, but stick with your child’s age group. A finalized schedule will be released in May. Chooses classes for the grade your child just finished. If class times do not work for your schedule your child may be able to attend a class for a different age group. Sponsored by the Garden Club of Elizabethtown! Why should we participate in Summer Reading? The benefits to readers in a summer reading program include: Encouraging reading to become a life-long habit reluctant readers can be drawn in by the activities reading over the summer helps prevent summer slide* * Most students lose about two months of grade level equivalency in mathematical skills over the summer months. Many students also lose more than two months in reading skills. Animal Exploration Wednesday, June 29 11:15 – 12:15 Learn about the science of animals! Interact with a collection of animal bones & other oddities! Waggin’ Tails June 13 and 27 10:30 – 11:30 Read to shelter dogs and cats! We will meet at the animal shelter. Registration is required online at www.fohcas.org Rock Counting Is Good for Your Heart Thursday, June 23 11:00 – 12:00 A special guest will teach us about rocks, minerals, and national parks!
