Vocabulary List 1
2
You will need 10 index cards. Write the word in big letters on the blank side so you can use it as a flash card to study. Write the word and definition here.Create a new sentence using the vocabulary word. Your sentence must prove that you understand the meaning of the word. Ex.) Don’t say, “The boy is belligerent.” Instead say, “The red-faced boy was extremely belligerent; he slammed his fists on the table when his mother told him to eat his green beans.” Provide 1-2 synonyms for the vocabulary word. Don’t use words you are unfamiliar with. Using words you know will help you reach a better understanding of the new word. Create an illustration demonstrating the meaning of the word. It’s okay to use stick people! Although I would love to see this in color, color is not a requirement.
