Generation of New Knowledge Develop regional knowledge-base through research partnership Assessed gaps & needs in 8 ASEAN countries (SEA-CC Net); Developed capacities of national researchers of 5 countries to link mitigation and adaptation in forestry sector (RECOFTC); Increased researchers’ understanding on experience-based knowledge in CCA (USER) Identify CCA measures through research projects: Identifying lessons that could be learned for adaptation planning ; Understanding differences and similarities between adaptation and socio-economic development; Understanding how ‘autonomous’ the community-level responses are, and how dependent they are on external policies and institutions
7
7 Application of New and Existing Knowledge Purpose: Facilitation of the process in developing policies, plans and actions to integrate CCA into development processes National partners in12 countries: scoping assessments /pilot activities Target beneficiaries: policy-makers, local government development planners & community-level development workers
