Google - good website to start and that leads you to other resources. IMBD- Important when researching promotion and marketing. When using IMBD you can find out most vital information about a film. YouTube- Easy to view footage from other social realism films, trailers etc. Twitter & Facebook- Social networking sites that myself and others around me use. Good for promoting films and creating a buzz.

To ensure we were completely familiar with the kind of films we would be creating we watched as many social realism films as possible. This allowed us to be acquainted with the conventions, mise en scene of this genre of film The first social realism film that I watched was Kidulthood When our group had thought of our idea we realised that is had the similar narrative to the film London to Brighton, this made it an appropriate film for the group to watch.

Our group used a camera like pictured to film the footage for our trailer We also used a boom mic to record sound needed for our trailer for example the sound of the sea, or the characters shouting.
5
To edit the footage we captured we used adobe premier. Here is an example of how adobe premier works We had to select all the good footage from what we had captured and then put it into order, put effects over the top, sound tracks, other audio and titles.

To create and edit my film poster and magazine cover I used adobe photo shop. We had a Photoshop workshop to help us use it and also were given templates to create our magazine cover.
