UYC Membership Report 2012

Introduction Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen This Year I will be brief I have TWO subjects areas I would like to cover this evening, – Membership statistics, – Key Changes impacting Membership Don’t Worry I will be as quick as I can

UYC Membership Statistics

UYC – Membership History

UYC – Membership History Breakdown

Membership History

Membership History Summary The membership numbers indicate that in 2011 we had 380 members and in 2012 we have 371. In 2012 we had 37 resignations and 24 New Members and 8 Suspended members who will return in 2013. The trend still seems to be indicating an average of 25 to 30 membership resignations and 15 to 20 New joiners. Last year 2011 this trend was halted but in 2012 we have had a net loss of 9 memberships It should be highlighted that this year the net impact of the resignation on the revenue generated is minimal if any.

Membership History Summary The data shows most membership types staying constant with a gradual decline in family membership over the last few years. Family Membership (FM) decreased by 15 in 2012. This is an unwelcome trend and as a club we should be actively focusing on the recruitment of Families. The FM figure of 178 represents the FM memberships and not the total number people within an individual membership Typically a Family Membership could represent 4 people We must remember that current economical climate and the November 2009 flood has had a great impact on our membership between 2009/2010 and it still continues in 2012
