Executive President –Can approve a new law by signing it –Visits other countries –Signs treaties (agreements) with other countries –Communicates with citizens –Leads the armed forces –Keeps lawmakers informed

Legislative Congress has two parts –House of Representatives 435 members Representation is determined by each state’s population –Senate 100 members 2 senators per state –Makes up new laws –Decide on taxes

Judicial Supreme Court –Nine judges-Justices –President chooses and senate approves Study and interpret laws Determine if a law is fair or not Ask congress to change unfair laws
